Arknights: Endfield’s first major update landed on March 12, 2026, and it came packed. Version 1.1 — officially titled “Old Deep Water Dies, by Rising Tide It is Denied” — expands the Wuling region with a brand-new sub-area, introduces two 6-star Operators, overhauled the AIC Factory with a water-based production chain, and shipped a long list of quality-of-life fixes the community had been asking for since the January 22 launch.
The patch runs through mid-April 2026, split across two banner phases. Whether you’re focused on the story, pulling for new Operators, or optimizing your factory layout, there’s enough here to keep you busy for the full five-week cycle.
This guide covers everything: new map, new characters, the Quietly Flows the Spring event, factory mechanics, free rewards, and what’s coming in 1.2.

Qingbo Stockade: The New Explorable Region in Arknights Endfield 1.1
Qingbo Stockade is the main addition to the Wuling map in Version 1.1. It’s a new sub-region that follows on from Jingyu Valley and Wuling City, featuring new terrain, enemies, AIC facility spots, and a story boss tied to Tangtang’s arc.
The main story chapter — Chapter 2 Process 3, titled “‘Twas One River That Gave Us Drink” — centers on the Endministrator’s mission to repair the colossal water wheel at the heart of the Stockade. The conflict between Wuling and the Stockade is the main narrative thread here, and Tangtang is central to how it plays out.
From an exploration standpoint, Qingbo Stockade is built around vertical terrain. A new QoL addition makes navigation easier: you can now access the minimap and world map while using ziplines, which was a small but genuinely welcome fix for the area’s layout.
The region also opens up new AIC expansion territory. Mineral beds for Cuprium Ore are located here, and the area supports the new Hydro Mining Rigs that the Wuling AIC Plan II brings online.
Tangtang: Arknights Endfield 1.1 Phase 1 Operator Explained
Tangtang is the Supreme Chief of Qingbo Stockade and a 6-star Cryo Handcannon Caster. Her kit is built around generating Whirlpools and Waterspouts, applying Cryo Infliction to enemies, and creating openings for the rest of your team.
Her basic attacks deal Cryo damage across up to five sequences. The important mechanics start with her Battle Skill: she jumps close to an enemy, fires a point-blank shot that creates a Waterspout, and consumes any nearby Whirlpools to generate additional Waterspouts. Each extra Waterspout applies Arts Susceptibility to enemies — a debuff that makes the whole team hit harder with Arts damage.
Her Combo Skill fires a piercing jet stream that creates a Whirlpool when she applies Cryo Infliction or deals an Arts Burst. The standard rotation is Combo Skill first to create a Whirlpool, then Battle Skill to convert it into Waterspouts and trigger Arts Susceptibility. Against groups of enemies, the Battle Skill already generates enough Waterspouts on its own, so the setup step becomes optional.
The big moment is her Ultimate: DA CHIEF SEES YOU! Tangtang opens her eyepatch and unleashes a wide-area crowd control effect that immobilizes all enemies — including bosses — for several seconds. The effect ends with a rogue wave dealing massive Cryo damage. If you perform a dive attack inside the pattern, you end the effect early for a significantly stronger damage hit. That CC window is what makes her especially strong alongside Yvonne, whose own Ultimate requires targets to hold still.
Her signature weapon is Brigand’s Calling (Handcannon), available on her banner. The Protocol Pass also adds Home Longing (6-star Handcannon) as a solid alternative.
Who Should Pull Tangtang
Tangtang fits Cryo-focused teams and works as a sub-DPS and debuffer. Her Arts Susceptibility application brings team-wide value even when she’s not the main damage dealer. If you already have Yvonne or Last Rite and want to push Cryo team damage further, she’s the cleaner pick.
Rossi: Arknights Endfield 1.1 Phase 2 Operator Explained
Rossi is a 6-star Physical Sword Guard and a familiar face from the Valley IV storyline. She’s currently the only Operator who can convert Arts Infliction on enemies into Vulnerability — a defence-break debuff that increases the Physical and Heat damage an enemy takes.
Her Battle Skill applies Lift and, when used on a Vulnerable target, triggers a follow-up attack that applies Razor Clawmark. That mark deals continuous Physical damage over time and makes the target take more Physical and Heat damage. On a critical hit, it deals a bonus hit and heals Rossi. If the target is Combusted, both the extra damage and the healing are increased.
Her Combo Skill activates when an enemy has both Vulnerability and Arts Infliction stacks. The first sequence deals damage; the second consumes all Arts Infliction stacks, applies Lift, and boosts Rossi’s crit rate and crit damage. Perfect timing on the second sequence adds an extra Vulnerability stack on top. Her Ultimate deals multiple hits of Heat damage, applies Heat Infliction, and deals increased critical damage on crits — it’s also her main way of applying Heat Infliction when teammates aren’t doing it.
Rossi’s signature weapon is Lupine Scarlet (Sword). The Protocol Pass adds Glorious Memory (6-star Sword) as an alternative.
Who Should Pull Rossi
Rossi shines in Physical or Physical-Heat teams focused on single-target boss damage. She needs teammates who can supply Arts Infliction — Cryo, Fire, Electric, or Nature — to power up her Combo Skill. If your roster already has good Arts debuff coverage, she becomes significantly stronger. For players building those teams, she’s the more impactful pull of the two this patch.
Quietly Flows the Spring: The Version 1.1 Guide Event
Quietly Flows the Spring is the Guide Event for Version 1.1, continuing the format from launch. It’s tied directly to Qingbo Stockade and rewards you for exploring the new region, completing the story chapter, and interacting with the new AIC systems.

Hydro Mining and Cuprium: Arknights Endfield 1.1 Factory Changes Explained
Version 1.1 introduces the biggest expansion to the AIC Factory since launch: the Wuling AIC Plan II. The centrepiece is Cuprium Ore, a new resource exclusive to Qingbo Stockade.
How Hydro Mining Works
Cuprium Ore is mined using the new Hydro Mining Rig. Unlike every other mining facility in the game, it runs on water flow rather than electricity. You don’t need to extend your power grid — just place a Fluid Pump near a water source and connect it via pipes to the rig. Once set up, the process is fully automated.
This opens up factory layouts in remote parts of Wuling that would have been logistically difficult before. You can now run independent mining operations without stringing relay towers across the map.
The Cuprium Production Chain
Once mined, Cuprium Ore is refined into Cuprium Parts, then into Cuprium Components, which are the base materials for the 10 new gear sets added in this patch. Supporting the water-based infrastructure are new Conduits for long-distance liquid transport, Water Treatment Units for sewage processing, and underground pipe support.
Other AIC Improvements
- Construction outside Core AIC Area — you can now place facilities anywhere on the map without returning to your base first
- Forge of the Sky cap raised — now supports up to four units, increasing endgame resource output
- Valley Multi-Line Engraving Kit — unlocked by upgrading Valley IV – Origin Lodespring Stock Redistribution to Level 4; lets you craft an Essence with all three stats chosen manually, removing the randomness from that step
- AIC Quota expansion — you now earn Quota for obtaining any 4, 5, or 6-star Operator for the first time; retroactive Quotas for previously obtained Operators are sent via in-game mail
New Gear Sets in Arknights Endfield 1.1
Ten new gear sets were added, all craftable using Cuprium Components. These are not a higher rarity tier — they offer stat combinations comparable to existing top-quality gear, giving you more flexible options depending on your team needs. If you’ve already invested in your current gear, that investment holds.
The new sets are: Type 50 Yinglung, MI Security, Hot Work, Frontiers, Pulser Labs, Bonekrusha, Æthertech, LYNX, Swordmancer, and Redeemer.
For Tangtang specifically, the Bonekrusha set pairs well with her rotation, boosting Battle Skill damage after her Combo Skill is cast. For Rossi, MI Security offers strong Crit Rate benefits that align with her kit’s crit scaling.

Arknights Endfield 1.1 Quality-of-Life Changes Worth Knowing
The patch shipped a substantial list of fixes. Here are the ones that matter most in practice.
Combat and exploration:
- Operators now enter Protocol Spaces at full HP and full Ultimate Energy — no more pre-healing before endgame content
- Enemy attack telegraphs (Red Flash indicators) were retuned for Advance, Elite, Alpha, and Boss enemies, making them easier to read in busy fights
- After a dive attack, following up with a basic attack within a short window no longer resets your basic attack sequence
- Story cutscenes can be skipped immediately, rather than waiting for characters to start speaking
Factory and base management:
- Power line buffer range extended; connections no longer snap during dialogue or cutscenes
- A dedicated button was added for moving facilities
- Shared facilities can now be deleted from the Map screen without triggering a cutscene
- Farming plot fertilization speed roughly doubled
- Containers with sprayable liquids are excluded from Quick Stash by default (configurable)
- Remaining quantities of rare gatherables now display directly on the map
UI and systems:
- Weapon potential upgrades and Essence screens now let you check weapon skill details directly
- Voice lines added for all Operators when switching between them in the field
- Rare Plants, Rare Minerals, and certain Protocol Space materials are auto-sent to Mail Cache if not collected in time

What's Coming in Arknights Endfield Version 1.2
Version 1.2 is expected to launch around April 14, 2026, following the end of Rossi’s banner. Hypergryph described it as a larger update than 1.1.
The main story arc will center on defending the Xiranite Dam from a siege by Ardashir, with the Endministrator joining forces with Tianshi Zhuang. The patch is expected to bring two new maps, a new outpost, and a fluid-based production system for the AIC Factory. Characters Zhuang Fangyi and Mi Fu have been teased for future banners — both are expected to be Electric-element Operators, which means neither Tangtang nor Rossi will synergize particularly well with them.
