Ship & Frigate

The Frigate is the strongest ship in Windrose. Everyone knows that. The problem is getting one takes a serious chunk of time that most players would rather spend actually playing the game. You need Brethren of the Coast Reputation Level 4 before the vendor in Tortuga even shows you the blueprint. Then you pay 3,000 Piastres for it. Then you farm nine different resource types — including Foothills Iron Ingots and Tarred Planks that only show up in late-game biomes. And all of that only works if your base already has a Wharf built within the Bonfire radius.

Windrose Ship & Frigate Boosting Services — Blackbeard Frigate, Materials & Bundles

That’s hours of questing, reputation grinding, and strip-mining before you fire a single 36-pound cannonball. The material wall alone — 320 Wooden Planks, 300 Nails, 240 Linen Fabric, 160 Timber, and more — represents more farming time than most players want to commit to outside of actual combat.

This category covers three services that handle different parts of the Frigate progression. Whether you want the full ship built and docked, just the materials delivered, or your existing ship upgraded through the Shipwright’s Workshop — you pick what you need and skip what you don’t.

All services are completed manually by experienced players who know Windrose’s fastest farming routes and progression paths. No bots, no automation. If the Wharf isn’t built on your account yet, that’s handled as part of the service before anything else starts.

The three services here solve different problems. If you’re stuck at the material farming stage, one option handles that specifically. If you want the Blackbeard Frigate built from scratch, that’s a separate order. And if you already have a ship but need it properly upgraded through the Shipwright’s Workshop, the bundle covers that. You can also combine them at checkout for a fully built and upgraded vessel ready for endgame combat.

What's Included in the Windrose Ship & Frigate Boost Category

Three services, each covering a specific step in the same progression chain. Here’s exactly what each one delivers:

Service What You Get Best For
Shipwright's Bundle Shipwright's Workshop upgrades applied — hull bracings, naval tactics, gear slots improved up to Epic rarity Players who have a ship but need it combat-ready
Blackbeard Frigate Full Blackbeard Frigate crafted and docked — 110,000 HP, 20 knots, 12-gun main battery (24 or 36 lbs) + 6-gun secondary battery Players who want the strongest DPS-focused endgame ship
All Materials For Frigate All crafting materials farmed and delivered — Wooden Planks, Nails, Linen Fabric, Timber, Foothills Iron Ingots, Tarred Planks, Tarred Fabric, Rope, Shipwright's Tools Players who have the blueprint but don't want to farm resources

You can order them individually or combine all three at checkout. If your account doesn’t have a Wharf yet, it gets built along the coastline before the service starts — no extra steps needed on your end.

Why Getting a Frigate in Windrose Takes So Long

The Frigate isn’t locked behind a single wall — it’s locked behind four of them stacked on top of each other. Each one alone is manageable. Together, they add up to a grind that can stretch across many hours of play.

The first gate is reputation. The Brethren of the Coast vendor in Tortuga sells Frigate blueprints, but only to players who have reached Reputation Level 4 with that faction. Level 2 is already a grind that involves running quest chains and trade routes. Level 4 is significantly longer, and there’s no shortcut — you earn it through dedicated faction questing.

Once you’re at Rank 4, the blueprint costs 3,000 Piastres. That’s three times the cost of the Brig blueprint, at a point in the game where Piastre income still requires active effort. Then come the materials. The Frigate crafting recipe uses nine different resource types:

  • 320 Wooden Planks
  • 300 Nails
  • 240 Linen Fabric
  • 160 Timber
  • 120 Foothills Iron Ingots
  • 80 Tarred Planks
  • 80 Tarred Fabric
  • 80 Rope
  • 50 Shipwright’s Tools

Foothills Iron Ingots only drop in the Foothills biome — a late-game zone that requires unlocking first. The Forge converts raw ore at roughly a 6-to-1 ratio, which means the actual ore count behind those 120 ingots is hundreds of raw pieces. Factor in the Tarred materials and Linen Fabric, and you’re looking at farming across multiple biomes over multiple sessions.

The last gate is the Wharf itself. It has to be constructed within the Bonfire radius at your base before any ship can be built. If you skipped it or placed your base without one, you need to build it before anything else moves forward.

Blackbeard Frigate Boost — The Strongest Endgame Ship in Windrose

The Frigate class comes in three variants, and choosing the wrong one at this stage is an expensive mistake. The three options look like this:

Variant HP Speed Main Battery Secondary Battery Best For
Stock Frigate 160,000 Medium 18 cannon slots, up to 24 lbs Balanced play, no extreme stats
Brethren Frigate 200,000 Slowest 24-lb cannons Available Survival, solo players, sustained fights
Blackbeard Frigate 110,000 20 knots 12 guns, 24 or 36 lbs 6 guns, 12 or 24 lbs Maximum damage output, endgame combat

The Blackbeard Frigate has the lowest HP of the three, but that’s the trade-off for everything else it brings. It moves at 20 knots — fast enough to reposition mid-battle and dictate engagement range. The main battery carries 12 guns capable of mounting 36-pound cannons, which deal the highest single-volley damage in the game. Combined with the 6-gun secondary battery, the Blackbeard puts more firepower on target than any other ship in Windrose.

The recommended cannon setup for this variant is 36-lb Devastating Cannons on the main battery and 24-lb Devastating Cannons on the secondary. The Epic effect of the Devastating passive stacks quickly with consistent broadside fire, and the Blackbeard’s speed makes maintaining reload timing straightforward.

The Brethren Frigate’s 200,000 HP pool is impressive, but most players who’ve run both variants report that the Blackbeard’s speed advantage removes the need for that extra HP — you control the fight rather than absorbing it. Players who combine it with Keelhold Hull Bracing (which removes the repair kit interruption) and keep a solid stock of Master Combat Repair Kits in the hold report no survivability issues even against overleveled Blackbeard enemy ships.

The Blackbeard Frigate is the most requested service in this category because it covers the full unlock and build — blueprint acquisition, reputation grinding if needed, material farming, and ship construction. The finished vessel is docked and ready when the service completes.

Windrose Shipwright's Bundle — What the Upgrade Layer Actually Covers

A lot of players buy or build a Frigate and then hit an upgrade wall they weren’t expecting. The ship is in the water, but the gear slots are empty, the hull is at base level, and the naval tactics haven’t been applied. The Shipwright’s Bundle handles that entire layer.

Before any ship gear can be upgraded in Windrose, the Weaponsmith has to be advanced into the Shipwright’s Workshop. That’s the first step the bundle covers. Without it, the upgrade system is locked regardless of what ship you’re sailing.

Hull Bracing is where a lot of the survivability difference between a good build and a weak one lives. The Keelhold variant removes the interruption on repair kits — which sounds minor until you’re taking sustained broadside fire and trying to heal under pressure. Iron Resolve is the base option and covers standard hull reinforcement, but players who have cleared the Foothills content generally agree the Keelhold upgrade changes how the Frigate handles damage trades.

Beyond the hull, the bundle covers naval tactics slots and boarding gear. The boarding system in Windrose’s current build has one boarding party gear option, so most of the tactical value at this stage comes from hull and cannon ascension. Gear can be upgraded through an ascension system up to Epic rarity, and the bundle applies improvements across all four ship gear slots. Getting all four slots to Epic rarity without a boost requires dedicated farming of upgrade materials on top of everything else — it’s not trivial.

Windrose All Materials For Frigate — The Full Resource List

If you have the Frigate blueprint already and the Wharf is up, all that’s standing between you and the ship is the material list. This service farms and delivers everything on that list so you can craft it yourself at your own Wharf.

The full crafting recipe for any Frigate variant requires:

Material Amount Needed Where to Farm
Wooden Planks 320 Coastal Jungle — craft from Wood at Workbench
Nails 300 Coastal Jungle — craft from Copper Ingots at Forge
Linen Fabric 240 Foothills — craft Flax Fiber into Linen at Spinning Wheel
Timber 160 Foothills — craft Hardwood (Divi-Divi trees) at Workbench Lvl 3
Foothills Iron Ingots 120 Foothills — smelt Iron Ore from mines at Forge
Tarred Planks 80 Cursed Swamp — craft Wooden Plank + Tar (from Tarwood Trees)
Tarred Fabric 80 Cursed Swamp — craft Linen Fabric + Tar at Tanning Rack
Rope 80 Coastal Jungle — craft from Plant Fiber at Workbench
Shipwright's Tools 50 Tortuga merchant or craft at Shipwright's Workshop

Foothills Iron Ingots are the hardest item on this list to farm. They require late-game biome access and convert from raw Iron Ore at a ratio that means you’re mining several hundred pieces of ore to hit 120 ingots. Tarred materials also require a processing step — raw materials go through the refining system before they become Tarred Planks or Tarred Fabric. None of these materials are difficult to understand, but the volume across all nine types is what makes the grind brutal.

The service delivers everything to your account. All resources stay in your inventory once the service completes. The crafting is yours to do at your Wharf — which is usually the preferred option for players who want to control when and how the ship gets built, or who want to track the crafting step themselves.

How the Windrose Ship Boost Works — Step by Step

The process is the same for all three services. Once you place the order, here’s what happens:

  1. Select your service — pick one or combine multiple at checkout. If you want a fully upgraded Blackbeard Frigate with all gear slots at Epic, order the Blackbeard Frigate service and the Shipwright’s Bundle together.
  2. Choose your completion method — piloted means a booster plays on your account with VPN protection. Selfplay is available for services that support it.
  3. The booster starts — if a Wharf isn’t present on your account, it gets built along the coastline first. From there, reputation grinding, material farming, blueprint purchase, and ship construction run in sequence.
  4. The ship is docked and ready — all resources, unlocks, and gear obtained during the service stay on your account permanently.

The services are completed by players who have been running Windrose since launch and know the fastest farming routes in the current build. Faction reputation, multi-biome material farming, Merchant Contracts for bulk resources, and Wharf construction — all of it is covered.

Which Windrose Ship Service Should You Buy?

The right choice depends on where you are in the progression:

  • No Frigate yet, want the best endgame ship → Blackbeard Frigate. The whole thing — reputation, blueprint, materials, construction — gets handled.
  • Have the Frigate blueprint and Wharf, don’t want to farm → All Materials For Frigate. You get the full resource list delivered and craft it yourself.
  • Have a ship already but it’s not upgraded → Shipwright’s Bundle. Workshop upgrades, hull bracing, naval tactics, and gear ascension across all four slots.
  • Want everything at once → Combine all three services at checkout. You get a fully built and upgraded Blackbeard Frigate ready for endgame content.

Do I need Brethren Reputation Level 4 before ordering the Blackbeard Frigate service?
No. If your reputation isn't at Level 4, the grinding is included in the service. The booster runs the quest chains and trade routes needed to reach the required standing before purchasing the blueprint.
What happens to my existing ships after the service?
Nothing changes with your current fleet. The Frigate is added to your docked ships alongside whatever you already have — the Ketch or Brig stays untouched.
Is the Blackbeard Frigate actually the best ship in Windrose?
For damage output, yes. It carries the heaviest cannons available — 36-pounders — and moves at 20 knots, which is fast enough to dictate engagement range in naval combat. The Brethren variant has more HP, but most experienced players choose Blackbeard once they've upgraded their hull and carry enough repair kits.
Can I buy just the materials and craft the ship myself?
Yes. The All Materials For Frigate service delivers every resource on the crafting list to your account. You craft the ship yourself at your Wharf whenever you're ready.
Is my account safe during the service?
All services are completed manually. Piloted orders use VPN protection. No automation software, bots, or scripts are involved at any point.
