BLACKWING ARMOR SET

The Blackwing Armor Set is the Crowcaller’s armor — a five-piece leather collection tied to one of the most memorable boss fights in Crimson Desert. It looks like nothing else in the game: deep black dye, crow-feather details, a mask that covers Kliff’s face in a stylized bird design, and a sweeping cloak that gives the whole build a rogue-like silhouette. Players want it for the look as much as the stats.

Crimson Desert Blackwing Armor Set Boost — All 5 Pieces, Done for You

The set covers every equipment slot — headgear, body armor, gloves, boots, and cloak. Two pieces drop from the Crowcaller boss at the end of Chapter 5. The other three are hidden in chests across the Hernand region, and finding them without a guide means hours of backtracking. One chest requires completing a quest that locks off an entire village until you’re done. Another is behind a breakable wall most players never notice. The boots require a specific ability and a floor mechanic inside a restricted church tower.

Our service collects all five pieces for you. You don’t have to grind through the boss fight, track down the quest prerequisites, or figure out the Force Palm trick. We handle the full set and hand it back to you complete.

The Tauria Curved Sword also drops from Crowcaller alongside the armor. It’s included in the service automatically — you don’t need to add it separately.

If you want to go further, we offer a refinement add-on. The chest piece and gloves gain the most from refinement and are worth upgrading first. The full set can reach a combined Defense of 101 with up to 8 Abyss Gear Slots — numbers that hold up well into the mid-game and beyond.

What Is the Blackwing Armor Set in Crimson Desert?

The Blackwing set is Crowcaller’s armor repurposed for Kliff. Crowcaller is a three-phase boss encounter in the Hernand region, and everything about the fight — the crow motif, the dark aesthetic, the multi-stage escalation — carries over into the armor design. When you wear the full set, Kliff looks like he could be leading the Crowcallers himself.

Stat-wise, the set is built around movement and offense rather than raw defense. Every single piece contributes to Lightning Resistance, which makes the full loadout especially strong against lightning-based enemies and environmental hazards in the later chapters. The gloves carry the highest Critical Rate of any gloves available in the early-to-mid game, and the chest brings 3 Abyss Core Slots — one of the highest slot counts on a chest piece at this stage of the game. That’s a big deal for players who want to customize their build.

The set doesn’t give a bonus for wearing all five pieces at once. Crimson Desert doesn’t work that way — each piece functions independently. But running the full Blackwing set still gives one of the strongest combined stat packages available before the late game.

Visually, the community response has been overwhelmingly positive. The mask is probably the standout piece — it’s crow-themed and instantly recognizable. Paired with the cloak, the full set gives Kliff a silhouette that looks genuinely intimidating rather than generically fantasy-armored.

Blackwing Armor Set — Full Stats for All 5 Pieces

Here’s what you’re getting, piece by piece.

Piece DEF Key Stats Source
Blackwing Mask 4 Movement Speed Lv.1, 1 Abyss Gear Slot Crowcaller boss drop — Chapter 5
Blackwing Leather Armor 12 Movement Speed Lv.1, Lightning Resistance Lv.1, Stamina Regen +2%, 3 Abyss Core Slots Crowcaller boss drop — Chapter 5
Blackwing Leather Gloves Critical Rate Lv.2, ATK bonus Hidden chest — Sanctum of Penitence
Blackwing Leather Boots ATK, DEF, Critical Rate, Movement Speed, Lightning Resistance Hidden chest — House of Healing
Blackwing Leather Cloak Lightning Resistance, DEF Hidden chest — Pororin Village

The chest piece at 12 DEF is among the highest base defense values on a chest at this point in the game. The three Abyss Core Slots are the other reason players specifically target this piece — you can customize it heavily with offensive, defensive, movement, or specialized cores depending on your build.

The gloves and boots are the other two pieces worth highlighting. Together they add 25 ATK on top of the defensive stats, and the gloves’ Critical Rate Lv.2 bonus is the highest available for that slot in the early-to-mid game. Players building around crits keep the gloves equipped long after switching out other set pieces.

Once you refine everything at a Blacksmith, the set reaches a combined Defense of 101 with up to 8 Abyss Gear Slots total. That’s a fully upgraded Blackwing set — which is what the refinement add-on in our service targets.

Why Completing the Blackwing Set Takes Longer Than Expected

Most players assume the Blackwing set is just a boss drop. Defeat Crowcaller, collect the armor, done. That’s true for two pieces. The other three require a completely separate set of steps that have nothing to do with the boss fight.

Here’s where most players lose time:

Pororin Village is locked.
The cloak sits in a hidden chest inside the village, but you can't enter until you've finished the Unreachable Village side quest. Players who skip that quest and try to walk in get blocked. The quest itself requires trying to enter the village three times before the trigger even activates.
The Sanctum of Penitence is a restricted zone.
The gloves are behind a collapsible floor tile in the upper section of the ruins. Getting spotted by guards on the way up makes the run significantly harder and forces you to reset your approach.
The boots require Force Palm and a hidden floor mechanic.
You climb to the roof of the House of Healing via an outside ladder, cross to the tower, and use Force Palm on a specific tile to drop into a hidden chamber below. Nobody figures this out by accident.
The chest and mask are story-locked.
You can collect the other three pieces before Chapter 5 if you explore early, but the mask and armor from Crowcaller don't drop until you finish the "Black and White" main quest. There's no workaround.

Add the travel time, the quest prerequisites, and the restricted-area navigation, and collecting the full set easily runs to several hours. Our service handles all of it — boss fight, side quest, hidden chests, and any restricted area navigation — so you don’t have to.

What's Included in Our Blackwing Armor Set Carry Service

We collect everything in one order, no hidden steps.

The full service covers:

  • Blackwing Leather Mask — Crowcaller boss clear, Chapter 5 “Black and White”
  • Blackwing Leather Armor — same fight, dropped alongside the mask
  • Blackwing Leather Gloves — hidden chest, Sanctum of Penitence
  • Blackwing Leather Boots — hidden chest, House of Healing (Force Palm mechanic)
  • Blackwing Leather Cloak — hidden chest, Pororin Village (requires Unreachable Village quest completion, handled as part of the order)
  • Tauria Curved Sword — drops from Crowcaller alongside the armor, included automatically

The Unreachable Village quest prerequisite is part of the Pororin Village chest collection and doesn’t require any additional steps from your side. We handle it within the same order.

Optional add-on — Refinement service: If you want the set upgraded at the Blacksmith, we can refine each piece as part of the same order. We prioritize the chest armor and gloves first — they gain the most stats per refinement level. The boots and mask are worth refining next. Fully refined, the complete set reaches 101 combined DEF with 8 Abyss Gear Slots.

Delivery timeframe and account safety details are on the order page. We use manual completion only — no bots, no scripts.

Blackwing Set Build Guide — Where It Fits in Crimson Desert Progression

The Blackwing set is a mid-game armor set with a specific identity. It’s not a general-purpose defensive loadout — it’s built for aggressive, mobile combat. If you’re running a crit-focused or unarmed build, this is one of the best sets available for the first half of the game.

The chest piece is the core of the build. DEF 12, three Abyss Core Slots, and Lightning Resistance Lv.1 make it a strong foundation for almost any offensive setup. Slot it with offensive Abyss Cores that boost critical hit chance and critical damage, and the synergy with the gloves’ Critical Rate Lv.2 becomes noticeable quickly. The boots cover movement and offense at the same time, so you’re not giving anything up in those slots either.

The cloak and mask are the more situational pieces. The cloak’s Lightning Resistance stacks naturally with the chest’s bonus, which is worth keeping in mind when you hit lightning-heavy encounters in the later chapters. The mask has 1 Abyss Gear Slot and Movement Speed Lv.1 — useful but not as dominant as the gloves or chest.

Compared to the Frostcursed set — the other strong mid-game option — Blackwing gives up some raw durability. What you get in return is better mobility and higher offensive output, especially for crit builds. Players who prefer a tankier playstyle will probably move off the full Blackwing set sooner. Players building around crits and movement often keep individual pieces, especially the chest and gloves, well into the late game.

Refinement priority: chest first, then gloves, then boots. The mask and cloak can wait until you’ve maxed those three.

Blackwing Armor Set FAQ — Crimson Desert

Can I get the Blackwing Mask and Chest without beating the Crowcaller boss?
No. Both pieces are guaranteed drops from the Crowcaller fight at the end of Chapter 5. There's no alternative source. If you don't finish the "Black and White" main quest, the mask and chest simply aren't obtainable. Our service clears the boss as part of the order.
Does the Blackwing set give a bonus for wearing all 5 pieces?
No. Crimson Desert doesn't give set bonuses for wearing matching gear. Each piece contributes its own stats independently. That said, running all five Blackwing pieces gives you Lightning Resistance across every slot, which adds up to at least Lv.4 combined — one of the strongest lightning-resistant loadouts available in the early-to-mid game.
Can I mix Blackwing pieces with other armor sets?
Yes, and it's often the right call. Because there's no set bonus, you can freely swap individual pieces in or out based on stats. Many players keep the Blackwing chest and gloves as their primary pieces while replacing the mask or cloak with alternatives that better fit their build. The gloves in particular stay competitive long after you'd normally move on from a mid-game set.
Is the Blackwing set worth getting if I've already passed Chapter 5?
Yes. The three hidden-chest pieces — gloves, boots, cloak — are available during free exploration before you even reach Crowcaller. If you've already cleared Chapter 5, you can collect the boss drops immediately and fill in the chest pieces afterward. The chest piece with 3 Abyss Core Slots remains one of the most customizable armor pieces in the game regardless of where you are in the story.
Does the service include the Tauria Curved Sword?
Yes. The Tauria Curved Sword drops from Crowcaller alongside the mask and chest. It's part of the same boss fight and comes included with every order automatically.
What happens if I've already completed some parts of the set?
Let us know on the order page which pieces you already have. We'll adjust the service to cover only the remaining pieces and adjust the price accordingly.
