Tempest Keep Boost — TBC Classic Raid Carry

Tempest Keep sits in Netherstorm as a floating fortress once held by the naaru, now controlled by Kael’thas Sunstrider and his Blood Elf followers. It’s one of two Tier 5 raids in TBC Classic Phase 2, and for most guilds it’s the harder one to schedule around — you need a completed attunement chain before you can even walk in, then a full 25-man roster that can handle five phases against the final boss without falling apart.

Our Tempest Keep boost skips both problems. You get a full clear of all four bosses, including Kael’thas, with your choice of two guaranteed epic drops or full loot priority across the whole run. No waiting on a guild raid night, no explaining a wipe to nine other players, no risk of walking away with nothing to show for two hours of your evening.

Below you’ll find what the raid actually involves, what each boss drops, and how our two loot options differ so you can pick the one that fits what you’re after.

What Is Tempest Keep in TBC Classic?

Tempest Keep, often shortened to “The Eye,” is a 25-player raid instance located in eastern Netherstorm. It opened in Phase 2 alongside Serpentshrine Cavern, and together the two raids form the backbone of Tier 5 progression. Getting into either one requires an attunement quest chain, and Tempest Keep’s version is the longer of the two — it runs through the Cipher of Damnation storyline, several heroic dungeon objectives, and a kill on Magtheridon before the raid door even opens.

The raid itself throws four bosses at you: Al’ar, Void Reaver, High Astromancer Solarian, and Kael’thas Sunstrider. The first three can be tackled in whatever order your raid leader prefers, and most groups start with Void Reaver since he’s the most forgiving fight and drops shoulder tokens right away. Kael’thas is locked behind the other three — you can’t touch him until Al’ar, Void Reaver, and Solarian are all dead.

That structure is part of why Tempest Keep takes longer to clear than people expect going in. Three “easier” bosses to clear the room, then a genuinely difficult final encounter with five distinct phases, phoenix adds, mind control, and a legendary weapon on Kael’thas himself. Guilds that pug this raid regularly spend an entire night just getting past Solarian, let alone finishing Kael’thas clean.

Tempest Keep Bosses and Loot Overview

Every boss in the raid drops item level 128 gear as a baseline, with Kael’thas going noticeably higher — his armor sits at 138 and his weapons reach 141, making him the best single loot source in the instance by a wide margin.

Boss Location Difficulty Key Drops
Al'ar Phoenix Hall Medium — two-phase fight Epic weapons and armor
Void Reaver The Crucible Easy — DPS and positioning check Tier 5 Shoulder tokens
High Astromancer Solarian The Solarium Medium — add control ilvl 128 caster and physical gear
Kael'thas Sunstrider Tempest Bridge Hard — five phases Tier 5 Chest tokens, Ashes of Al'ar, ilvl 138-141 gear

Void Reaver and Kael’thas are the two bosses that matter most for set gear. Void Reaver drops Tier 5 shoulder tokens, and Kael’thas drops the chest tokens — three token variants each, split by class (Vanquished Champion for Paladins, Rogues, and Shamans; Vanquished Defender for Druids, Priests, and Warriors; Vanquished Hero for Hunters, Mages, and Warlocks). Al’ar and Solarian don’t drop tokens at all, but they still hand out solid off-set epics that fill gaps in your loadout.

Kael’thas is also where the raid’s two most talked-about drops live: the Ashes of Al’ar mount and the components tied to the Verdant Sphere quest item, which feeds into one of the strongest neck pieces available in Phase 2. Neither is guaranteed — both come down to loot rolls the same as anything else in the raid — but they’re a big part of why players keep coming back to Kael’thas week after week.

Tempest Keep Boost Services — What's Included

We offer two ways to get your gear out of Tempest Keep, and they work well for different goals.

2 Guaranteed Items

This option locks in two epic drops from the raid, delivered to your character no matter how the rest of the loot rolls go. If those two items don’t drop on your first clear, we keep running the raid until they do. It’s built for players who just want a specific, predictable gear boost without gambling on the full loot table — you know exactly what you’re walking away with before you even queue up.

This works especially well if you’re gearing an alt or catching up a character that’s behind the curve. You’re not trying to sweep every drop in the instance, just filling two slots that matter, and this option gets that done without paying for coverage you don’t need.

Loot Priority

Loot Priority gives you first pick on everything that drops for your class and spec across all four bosses, including a shot at Tier 5 tokens and Kael’thas’s higher item level gear. If it drops and it’s usable for your character, it’s yours before anyone else in the run touches it.

This is the option to pick if you’re actively working toward a Tier 5 set piece, chasing the Ashes of Al’ar mount, or simply want the strongest possible outcome from a single Tempest Keep clear. It costs more than the guaranteed option because the ceiling is higher — you’re not capped at two items, you’re covered for whatever the raid decides to drop that week.

Between the two, most returning raiders lean toward Loot Priority once they’ve already picked up their core gear elsewhere, while first-time buyers tend to start with 2 Guaranteed Items to get a feel for the service before committing to a bigger order.

Why Players Buy Tempest Keep Boost

A full Tempest Keep clear with a competent group runs two to three hours, but getting to “competent group” in the first place is where most players lose their evenings. Pugging this raid means recruiting a tank who actually knows the Void Reaver positioning, healers who can handle Solarian’s add phase, and enough DPS who won’t stand in Kael’thas’s Pyroblast to survive five phases. That’s a lot to line up for a single night, and it often falls apart before the first pull.

Attunement is the other wall. Some players clear their heroics and beat Magtheridon without much trouble, but plenty get stuck waiting on a group for one specific heroic step, or they’re playing a class that doesn’t get invited to attunement runs as easily. Our service handles the run itself regardless of where you are in that chain, and we offer attunement completion separately if that’s the actual bottleneck.

Then there’s the gear ceiling. Kael’thas drops the best non-Black Temple loot available in Phase 2, and a lot of that gear directly gates progress into Serpentshrine Cavern and beyond. Players who are close to BiS but missing one or two Tier 5 pieces use this service to close that gap fast instead of waiting for a lucky roll in a random pug three weeks in a row.

How the Tempest Keep Boost Works

  1. Pick your method. Self-play means you join our team and raid alongside professional players on your own account.
  2. Account sharing (piloted) means one of our boosters logs in and plays your character through the clear.
  3. Schedule the run. We work around your availability rather than asking you to fit into a fixed raid time.
  4. Clear the raid. Our team completes all four bosses, handles the loot rolls according to the option you picked, and manages any wipes or add mechanics along the way.
  5. Receive your rewards. Everything — gear, gold, tokens, quest progress — lands directly on your account. Nothing is traded through a middleman.

If you go with account sharing, we use secure connection practices and dedicated equipment on our end so your login details stay isolated to the run itself.

Is Tempest Keep Boost Safe?

Account security is the first question most players ask, and it’s a fair one. Our boosters work from clean, monitored setups, and every account-sharing order goes through the same security protocol regardless of order size. We don’t use bots, we don’t share your login with anyone outside the assigned team, and we don’t touch anything on your account beyond what the raid requires.

Self-play removes the account-sharing question entirely if you’d rather not hand over your login at all — you’re playing your own character the whole time, just alongside a coordinated team instead of a pug.

Tempest Keep Boost FAQ

Do I need attunement to enter Tempest Keep?
Yes. You need the completed Cipher of Damnation chain, several heroic dungeon objectives, and a kill on Magtheridon. If you're not attuned yet, we offer that as a separate service.
What's the difference between 2 Guaranteed Items and Loot Priority?
Guaranteed Items locks in two specific epic drops no matter what. Loot Priority gives you first pick on everything usable for your class across all four bosses, including Tier 5 tokens, for a full run.
Can I get Tier 5 tokens from a single clear?
It's possible but not guaranteed under Loot Priority — Void Reaver drops shoulder tokens and Kael'thas drops chest tokens, and you'll have priority if they drop, but the roll itself isn't fixed. Guaranteed Items can be set to include a token if one is part of your selected two.
Does Kael'thas drop the Ashes of Al'ar mount?
Yes, it's part of his loot table, though it's a rare drop and not something any boost service can promise on a specific run.
How long does a full Tempest Keep clear take?
Around two to three hours for all four bosses, depending on your chosen loot option and raid conditions that day.
Is self-play or account sharing safer?
Self-play avoids account sharing entirely since you play your own character. Account sharing is handled with strict security measures if you'd rather sit back and let our team run it for you.
